June 2, 2014 Guild Meeting
Please forgive the tardiness of the blog this month. With the leaving of Clare Kupcho, she has been coaching me on how to do the blog. Forgive me for re-sending last months but I was trying to see how each key did and before I knew it I had posted the old blog. Why someone who has no skills with a computer would volunteer to do this I do not know but I will do my best. I think that I figured out how to caption the pictures so if they are, please accept my apologies because there was one quilter who I had absolutely no idea how to spell her name, knew how to say it but not spell it. Jo'el gave a lesson on how to sew a binding on from start to finish with no hand stitching at all. This was a great lesson and will come in handy on the finishing of hospice quilts. I intend to make about ten copies of the instructions and put them everywhere in my sewing room so I can always find it. The July meeting will have the white elephant sale where you can bring your unwanted sewing treasures from home and have it benefit the hospice program. The board will be hosting the guild with an ice cream social during the sale.
