October 2013 Meeting

Our lesson this month was given by Clare. She showed us a disappearing 4 patch, or 4 patch with a twist. Looking for ideas for a scrappy quilt, Clare happened upon this web site and thought it was an interesting new idea for an easy quilt block. Pictures of the block are in the slide show. She also gave some ideas of using Glad press'n seal (Pns)for quilting. She had taken a paper continuous design and placed it on fabric and put the Pns on the paper and stitched through it with a size 14 needle unthreaded. You can then take the Pns and place onto a quilt and use the Pounce and transfer your design to your quilt. A different way to transfer your designs onto your quilts. It can be reused many times. Even after having our quilt show, people had several show and tell items to share. This month members were to wear jewelry that we couldn't believe we bought or had been given to us.
